Senior Test Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Test Engineer in Jacksonville, FL.

Duties:
* Contributes to defining and refining system and software requirements to ensure clarity and completeness
* Oversees testing expectations throughout design, development, and verification phases to maintain alignment with project goals
* Combines hardware and software components to validate system-level behavior across varied environments, including clinical and office-based settings
* Creates and executes verification and validation plans, develops protocols, and produces audit-ready documentation; Evaluates design inputs and determines effective verification strategies to confirm they are fully met
* Follows established quality standards and produces required deliverables-such as traceability documentation, V&V summaries, and other compliance-focused artifacts-to satisfy regulatory needs
* Designs or enhances tools that support automated testing and improve efficiency during product development and sustaining activities
* Builds auxiliary software for test fixtures and prepares the associated validation records
* Detects, logs, and monitors defects found through both automated and manual testing, participates in root-cause analysis, and offers recommendations for corrective actions
* Reviews code to confirm adherence to standards, verify edge-case handling, and support overall testability
* Partners with lab technicians and cross-disciplinary engineering teams to develop and assemble test fixtures required for system-level evaluation
* Writes specifications, test documentation, and reports for fixture qualification and manages their release through PLM systems
* Works within defined development frameworks, including Agile practices, and assists developers in delivering functional prototypes each sprint

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline is required with minimum of 4 years of Software testing experience in medical device or regulated industry; Or Master's degree in Engineering with 2 years of experience; Or PhD in Engineering with 0 years of experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
