Senior Software Test & Validation Engineer

Introduction:

This individual will serve as the Product Owner for Test, responsible for defining and driving the overall strategy for the testing campaign. The ideal candidate must function as a strategic thought leader, and not as a tactical tester. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing for hardware-integrated systems. Experience in a FDA or FAA regulated environment is a strong plus, with the medical device industry being ideal.

Responsibilities:

• Define and drive overall test strategy and test campaigns
• Lead testing across multiple sprint teams (5 teams running in parallel)
• Analyze defects and assess test execution quality
• Ensure FDA-compliant documentation, traceability:
• Requirements → Test cases
• Test cases → Test execution
• Test execution → Risk mitigation
• Collaborate with software, quality, and business teams
• Act as a strategic thought leader for testing quality

Requirements:

• ~8 years of experience in software testing for Hardware Integrated Systems
• Experience in FDA/FAA or other regulated environments is a strong plus (not mandatory)
• Medical device experience is desirable but not required
• Open to backgrounds including:
  • Software Engineering
  • Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
  • Embedded systems
• Agile/SAFe experience (Scrum, Product Owner) is a plus (training will be provided if needed)
