SAP ABAP Developer (Contract)

Location: Remote (U.S.)
Duration: Through year-end with potential extension and/or conversion opportunity
Schedule: Four-day workweek (40 hours)
Compensation: 100-135/hr W2 ONLY. NO THIRD PARTY CANDIDATES OR C2C PLEASE!

Position Overview

A leading enterprise organization is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to support a large-scale business transformation and payroll platform environment. This role will focus on the development, enhancement, integration, and support of SAP Payroll and related enterprise applications within a collaborative, fully remote team. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP solutions and integrations.
• Provide ongoing support for payroll-related applications, enhancements, and interfaces.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
• Develop and maintain integrations using SAP technologies and middleware platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-critical initiatives and operational improvements.
• Participate in software lifecycle activities including development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Ensure application stability, code quality, and compliance with established development standards.
• Support ongoing improvement efforts in a highly visible enterprise transformation program. 

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong experience supporting SAP Payroll environments.
• Hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors and related integrations.
• Experience developing integrations within SAP CPI or similar middleware platforms.
• Solid troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of SAP application architecture and full lifecycle development practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to program-related access requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori, UI5, BTP, OData, AL11, and related SAP technologies.
• Experience with web services and enterprise application integrations.
• Knowledge of enterprise payroll and HR system implementations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
