Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Infrastructure Technical Project Manager for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Investment Banking clients in New York, NY.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive end-to-end execution of projects/programs consisting of multiple infrastructure workstreams.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, actions, and dependencies, coordinate mitigation, and resolution across teams.
  • Develop detailed delivery plans, project documentation, and status reporting (including dashboards and executive summaries).
  • Coordinate across local, regional, and global initiatives with virtual and matrix-managed teams.
  • Facilitate project governance and working sessions; track and publish actions, plans, risks, and issues.
  • Build and maintain integrated project plans in partnership with multiple technical delivery teams.
  • Develop and execute migration and cutover plans (including rehearsal, rollback, and service validation).
  • Ensure adherence to project lifecycle, quality controls, and policy/standards requirements.
  • Create and deliver executive-level communications at the project and program level.
  • Own senior stakeholder management, communications, and timely escalation of key decisions and blockers.
  • Track, monitor, and report a large set of risks and remediation plans across infrastructure workstreams.
  • Lead planning and execution for data center and application migrations, including dependency coordination and operational readiness.

Required Skills:
  • Project management experience delivering IT infrastructure initiatives using Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of (and ability to work across) end-user technology, compute/server platforms, networking (voice and data), cloud, data centers, and application/Infra technologies.
  • Hands-on technical depth in one or more of the areas listed above.
  • Merger and technology integration experience.
  • Excellent written communication, documentation, and status reporting skills.
  • Ability to indirectly manage virtual team members across diverse cultures and locations.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage several projects concurrently.
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite skills and project planning tools (e.g., MS Project), AI tools, BI tools
  • Ability to define, develop, and track delivery metrics and outcomes.
  • Proactive and positive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Sound background in adhering to business processes and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work independently; self-motivated with a strong team orientation.

Preferred Skills:
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile certifications, or equivalent recognized professional standards).
  • Financial industry experience, preferably Tier 1 investment banking experience.
