Summary

Job Title: Senior AI Automation Engineer (Energy Industry) Location : Columbus , OH

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Senior AI Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI-driven automation solutions in the energy domain.
This is a hands-on, senior-level engineering role requiring expertise across machine learning, LLMs, and production-grade systems. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation, delivering impactful automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in AI/ML development (e.g., Python, ML frameworks, data pipelines)
Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI (e.g., prompt engineering, orchestration, APIs)
Proven experience building and deploying production-grade solutions (MLOps, CI/CD, monitoring)
Solid experience with cloud platforms, specifically Azure and AWS
Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, and system integration
Experience working with large and complex datasets
Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and deliver end-to-end solutions
Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills

Nice to Have
Experience in the energy or utilities sector (e.g., trading, generation, distribution, asset management)
Familiarity with time-series data, forecasting, or optimization models
Experience with IoT/industrial data environments
Knowledge of data engineering tools (e.g., Spark, Databricks)
Exposure to governance, risk, and compliance in AI
Experience or familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code)
