Job Title: AI Architect
Location: Plano, TX (100% remote work accepted from anywhere in US)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Only W2 Contracts)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced AI Architect with 7 8 years of overall IT experience, including strong hands-on experience in AI/ML, cloud architecture, data integration, and enterprise solution design. This role will be responsible for defining, designing, and guiding the implementation of scalable AI solutions across enterprise environments.
The AI Architect will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, platform teams, security teams, and delivery leads to translate business needs into practical AI-enabled solutions. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of technical architecture, AI platform knowledge, integration experience, and delivery leadership, with the ability to shape solutions from concept through production deployment.
Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)
- Define end-to-end architecture for AI and GenAI solutions, including application, data, integration, security, and deployment design.
- Design scalable AI solution patterns using cloud-native services, APIs, vector databases, orchestration frameworks, and enterprise data platforms.
- Lead architecture for AI use cases such as intelligent automation, document understanding, knowledge retrieval, copilots, predictive analytics, and code or process intelligence solutions.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to assess use cases, define solution options, and recommend fit-for-purpose AI architectures.
- Establish architecture standards, reusable patterns, reference models, and best practices for AI solution delivery.
- Guide teams on model integration, prompt orchestration, RAG patterns, agentic workflows, and human-in-the-loop controls where applicable.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, governance, and operational support requirements.
- Partner with engineering teams to support solution implementation, code reviews, design reviews, and technical issue resolution.
- Define non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, resilience, observability, supportability, and disaster recovery considerations.
- Support AI platform selection, tooling strategy, and integration with cloud, DevOps, data, and monitoring ecosystems.
- Provide technical leadership during discovery, pilot, implementation, and production rollout phases.
- Create architecture artifacts such as solution diagrams, integration designs, deployment views, decision logs, and technical roadmaps.
Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)
- 7 8 years of overall IT experience, with at least 3+ years focused on AI/ML, data-driven, or intelligent automation solutions.
- Strong experience in solution architecture, application architecture, and cloud-based enterprise platform design.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML or GenAI solution components such as:
-Large Language Models (LLMs)
-Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
-Prompt engineering and orchestration
-Vector databases / semantic search
-Knowledge graphs or metadata-driven architectures
-AI workflow orchestration frameworks
- Experience with one or more cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, event-driven integration, and enterprise system connectivity.
- Experience with data architecture concepts including structured/unstructured data, ingestion pipelines, metadata, and data governance.
- Good understanding of AI security, responsible AI, access controls, model governance, and enterprise compliance considerations.
- Ability to communicate architecture concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting delivery teams in agile or product-based environments.
Key Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or similar enterprise AI platforms.
- Minimum 5 years of exposure to frameworks and tools such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Python, REST APIs, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. Minimum 5 years of experience designing AI solutions integrated with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, Jira, Git repositories, knowledge bases, or ticketing systems.
- Minimum 2 years of Familiarity with observability, logging, model monitoring, and AI output validation approaches.
- Minimum 2 years of Experience working in regulated or large enterprise environments with strong architecture and governance standards.
- Prior experience in modernization, knowledge extraction, intelligent support operations, or AI-enabled managed services environments.

- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field required. Nice to Have; (But not a must)
- Master s degree preferred.
