Electrical Engineer - Onsite

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for an onsite position with a Global Manufacturing Company located in Milpitas, CA. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This role involves designing electrical parts, modules, and subsystems as part of a comprehensive system design process. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire design lifecycle, from requirements specification and feasibility studies to system integration, prototype testing, and handover to manufacturing. This position requires close collaboration with mechanical, optical, software, and systems engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design electrical parts, modules, and subsystems to support the design of whole systems
• Manage the complete design process, including requirements specification, feasibility studies, cost, and scheduling
• Conduct various analyses, such as circuit, timing, thermal/cooling, electrical loads, and FPGA modeling
• Perform conceptual and detailed design using tools like OrCAD, PSpice, and FPGA/EPLD development systems
• Create detailed drawings and present at design reviews
• Work with engineering groups (ME, OE, SW, systems, manufacturing) to ensure flawless integration and testing
• Develop supporting documentation, such as assembly and test procedures, and service manuals
• Work closely with and manage suppliers to ensure all design requirements are specified and achieved
• Address and resolve product issues through all product phases

Requirements:

• PLC programming skills (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
• Experience with design tools (i.e. OrCAD, PSpice, Xilinx/Altera FPGA /EPLD development systems, etc.)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Pay range: $63.74 - $78.74 per hour
