Front End Developer IV (Hybrid)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Front End Developer IV to join their team in San Diego, CA. This is a hybrid position on site 3X per week.

Key Tasks:
* In charge of managing complex details about projects that require analyzing design requirements, as well as recommending technical solutions to make projects scalable, maintainable, and efficient
* Debug websites to fix mistakes in the code to make sure they are error-free for network administrators and end users
* Interpret requirements and create project plans to meet schedule and quality goals; Work across teams to identify and solve problems
* Document code, including commenting and reporting on features
* Program in multiple languages to create specified products
* Create Front End magic with a deep understanding of customer needs and ability to quickly translate insights into mockups, wireframes, and working proof-of-concept code
* Deliver high quality web application code and contributing to overall site stability by conducting code reviews and writing unit and integration tests
* Contribute to the design/architecture of the project and developing web software while implementing best practices for architecture, design, coding standards and CI/CD
* Be responsible for roughly 80-90% hands-on coding and serve as a technical leader by mentoring junior engineers and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of professional experience developing web, software, or mobile applications with a focus on JavaScript, Typescript, React, HTML, and CSS
* Proficiency with the Software design/architecture process and familiarity with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
* Experience with web services, including experience with REST or SOAP
* Experience with unit testing and Test Driven Development (TDD)
* Experience developing, maintaining, and innovating large scale, consumer-facing web applications
* Should have working knowledge of several programming languages and be able to adapt to new versions of software; Should be proficient in using Office applications, and have advanced knowledge in databases and networks
* Strong understanding of React hooks, component lifecycle, state management models
* Solid understanding of the front-end platform and architecture to make technical decisions on security, performance, design, and visual adherence
* Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Experience with GraphQL is a bonus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
