Job Details
The ideal candidate is an EIT or PE with practical geotechnical experience who can contribute to projects from field investigation through engineering analysis, reporting, and design. Senior candidates should be comfortable taking greater ownership of projects and interacting directly with clients and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and support geotechnical investigations and subsurface explorations.
Coordinate and interpret soil borings, laboratory testing, and field data.
Perform geotechnical calculations and engineering analyses.
Develop recommendations for foundations, earthwork, retaining structures, and site development.
Prepare geotechnical reports, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
Review plans and project documents for geotechnical considerations.
Coordinate with drilling contractors, laboratories, surveyors, and other consultants.
Support construction observation, testing, and field investigations.
Work with civil, structural, environmental, and other engineering disciplines.
For senior-level candidates, provide technical leadership and communicate directly with clients and project stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
Professional experience in geotechnical engineering.
Experience with subsurface investigations, soil mechanics, and geotechnical analysis.
Experience developing geotechnical reports and engineering recommendations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interpret construction documents, boring logs, laboratory data, and field observations.
EIT or PE preferred, with PE particularly valuable at the senior level.
