Summary:
The Sr. System Analyst is responsible for Salesforce requirements gathering, configuring, testing, training other system analysts and providing post deployment support. Work with Salesforce Architects and developers to design, develop, and deploy large-scale enterprise solutions all while learning and growing your skill set. The ideal candidate will have a good foundation of the Salesforce platform and its offerings. The candidate must demonstrate a willingness to learn new offerings from Salesforce and overcome technical challenges in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will provide design and implementation expertise to a cross-functional software development team.
Responsibilities:
Elicit, analyze, and document system requirements and translate them into detailed Salesforce functional specifications and user stories.
Perform data analysis within Salesforce objects, integrations, and related data sources; document system processes, workflows, and data models.
Configure Salesforce orgs including custom objects, fields, validation rules, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, flows, page layouts, and other declarative automation.
Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and development teams to design scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
Facilitate workshops, refinement sessions, and technical discussions to support successful delivery of complex Salesforce initiatives.
Troubleshoot production issues related to Salesforce configuration, automation, integrations, and user access.
Manage assignments independently and handle complex Salesforce enhancements with minimal oversight.
Review work from other analysts to ensure quality and alignment with Salesforce best practices.
Create and maintain detailed functional documentation, configuration logs, data flow diagrams, and system reference materials for Salesforce environments.
Support system testing, UAT cycles, and deployment readiness, ensuring user story acceptance criteria and release standards are met.
Provide training, guidance, and support to other system analysts on Salesforce features and processes.
Monitor Salesforce seasonal releases, evaluate upcoming features, and recommend enhancements aligned with business needs.
Identify process improvement opportunities and automation solutions using Salesforce Flow, platform tools, and integrations.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to elicit, analyze, and document system requirements and translate them into detailed Salesforce functional specifications and user stories.
Advanced understanding of Salesforce data modeling, object relationships, and schema design.
Strong proficiency with Salesforce automation tools (Flow, Lightning App Builder, formula logic, validation rules).
Handson experience with Service Cloud and Field Service Lightning (FSL), including work order management, service appointments, dispatcher console, scheduling policies, and mobile workflows.
Deep knowledge of Salesforce security architecture roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules.
Proficiency with SQL; experience using tools such as Oracle SQL Developer.
Ability to design and interpret system/process/data flow diagrams using tools like Lucidchart.
Familiarity with Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP), integration patterns, and enterprise middleware concepts.
Understanding of system interoperability with adjacent platforms (telephony like Genesys, analytics tools, data platforms).
Strong grasp of data governance, data quality, and enterprise security/compliance standards within Salesforce.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree program and minimum 5 years of related work experience.
