We are seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare IT Quality Manager / Project Manager to support large-scale healthcare systems modernization and Medicaid technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in healthcare IT project delivery, quality management, IV&V oversight, Medicaid/MMIS systems, MITA compliance, and stakeholder management within complex enterprise environments.
The selected consultant will work closely with project leadership, technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and testing teams to ensure successful delivery of enterprise healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead quality management and project governance activities for enterprise healthcare IT initiatives
- Support DDI (Design, Development, and Implementation) project lifecycle activities
- Monitor project deliverables and ensure compliance with business and technical requirements
- Manage requirements traceability, defect tracking, testing coordination, and validation activities
- Participate in risk identification, mitigation planning, issue resolution, and project reporting
- Collaborate with PMO, business teams, vendors, QA teams, and executive leadership
- Support UAT, SIT, QA, IV&V, and implementation activities
- Assist with healthcare compliance standards including CMS, MITA, MECT, MMIS, and Medicaid modernization initiatives
- Develop process improvement recommendations and project quality metrics
- Support stakeholder communication, documentation, status reporting, and executive presentations
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of Healthcare IT Project Management / Quality Management experience
- Strong experience with Medicaid, MMIS, Eligibility & Enrollment, or healthcare modernization projects
- Experience with IV&V, QA oversight, testing management, and DDI projects
- Strong understanding of CMS, MITA, MECT, and Medicaid systems
- Experience with requirements gathering, RTM, defect management, and business process analysis
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience coordinating with vendors, PMO teams, and executive leadership
Preferred Skills:
- Medicaid Eligibility Systems experience
- Healthcare claims, member management, or enrollment systems experience
- Rules engine or workflow orchestration experience
- State government healthcare project experience
- PMP, CBAP, or related certifications preferred
Education:
Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience required.
