Job Title: Azure Data Solutions Developer
Location: Farmers Branch, TX (On-Site Tuesday through Thursday)
Job Type: Contract to Hire

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Solutions Developer to design, build, and optimize robust data solutions in a cloud-based environment. This role demands deep expertise in SQL development, Azure SQL Managed Instances, and modern data pipeline architecture. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical acumen with analytical thinking to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient data systems that support strategic business insights and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

<>SQL Development & Optimization

Design and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions.
Optimize T-SQL scripts and relational database structures for high performance.
Execute performance tuning through indexing, partitioning, and query analysis.

<>Azure Cloud & Managed Services

Architect and administer Azure SQL Managed Instances.
Develop and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines, integrating CI/CD via Azure DevOps.
Leverage tools such as Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Databricks for large-scale data processing and analytics (preferred).

<>Data Pipeline Architecture

Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
Apply Medallion Architecture concepts across bronze, silver, and gold data layers.
Ensure compliance with data security, encryption, and governance standards.

<>Analytics & Problem Solving

Analyze complex datasets to identify trends and business opportunities.
Troubleshoot data quality, performance, and production issues.
Support the development of predictive and prescriptive analytics models.

Required Qualifications

<>Technical Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies, including SQL Managed Instances, Data Factory, and DevOps integration.
8+ years of advanced SQL development experience (T-SQL, SSIS).
Familiarity with Azure Functions, .NET framework, and Azure CLI scripting.
Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture.
Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools (preferred).

<>Soft Skills

Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong written and verbal communication; able to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

<>Certifications (Preferred)

Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent.
