POSITION SUMMARY
Seeking a ServiceNow Product Architect to define and lead the technical architecture of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring it remains scalable, secure, and maintainable as the organization grows. This role
partners closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into resilient, future-ready solutions that align with enterprise standards and best practices. The architect works with stakeholders,
process owners, developers, and enterprise architects to deliver efficient, user-centric capabilities across the platform. As a thought leader for ServiceNow, this role provides deep expertise across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, FSM, SPM, HRSD, HAM, SAM, and SecOps to maximize the platform s value and impact.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Platform Architecture & Design
Design and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing ServiceNow solutions, including the surrounding technical ecosystem (middleware, data pipelines, security layers), aligned with enterprise architecture standards, platform best practices, and ServiceNow s implementation framework.
Document and communicate architectural blueprints, integration patterns, data models, and platform guardrails clearly to both technical and business audiences.
Technical Leadership & Delivery
Lead technical design sessions and guide implementation of new modules (e.g., CSM, FSM, HAM, SAM), enhancements, and integrations ensuring solutions are maintainable, reusable, and aligned with out-of-the-box capabilities.
Provide hands-on architectural guidance and mentorship to developers, admins, and configuration specialists, ensuring adherence to best practices and platform architecture standards.
Governance & Platform Management
Establish and enforce platform standards, naming conventions, smart customization strategies, and environment governance, including technical review processes for design, code, integrations, and customizations.
Oversee platform health, including performance, upgrade readiness, security compliance, and continuous optimization.
Manage and optimize ServiceNow licenses by tracking usage, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements, recommending license allocations, and advising stakeholders on cost-effective adoption of platform features and modules.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Advisory
Partner with business and IT leaders to translate requirements into technical solutions that drive business value and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for ServiceNow capabilities, roadmap planning, and architectural decisions.
Collaborate with enterprise architects, system owners, and integration teams including ServiceNow and partner technical teams - to align with broader technology strategies.
Integration & Data Architecture
Design, oversee, and document integration architecture connecting ServiceNow with internal and vendor systems using MID Server, REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and other platforms, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient data exchange.
Oversee and maintain CMDB data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance withthe Common Service Data Model (CSDM), enabling reliable configuration item relationships, service mapping, and enterprise reporting.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of ServiceNow s foundation data including organizational structures, locations, groups, and users while guiding strategies for data migration, reconciliation, and federation using mastered data or other systems of record.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
7 10+ years of ServiceNow experience across architecture, development, and multiple modules (ITSM, ITOM, CSM, FSM, SPM, HRSD, HAM, SAM, SecOps).
Proven ability to design scalable, secure, maintainable, and upgrade-ready ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and best practices.
Hands-on experience leading technical design sessions, guiding implementations, and mentoring developers, admins, and configuration specialists.
Strong expertise in integrations, including MID Server, REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and data pipelines, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable connections.
Skilled in overseeing CMDB and foundation data, ensuring accuracy, compliance with CSDM, and guiding data migration, reconciliation, and federation strategies.
Ability to define and enforce platform standards, smart customization strategies, environment governance, and license optimization.
Excellent collaboration and advisory skills, translating business needs into technical solutions and partnering with stakeholders, enterprise architects, and ServiceNow partner teams.
Preferred: ServiceNow certifications (Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), Certified Technical Architect (CTA)) and ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
