earching for an EXPERT Kubernetes Engineer SME (NOT DEVOPS ENGINEER), who can simplify complex wrappers in AWS and Azure Libraries for Kubernetes cluster creation. Extensive GitHub Action experience is a MUST HAVE.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Kubernetes Engineer SME with deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture and Terraform Infrastructure as Code, capable of simplifying and standardizing complex AWS and Azure Kubernetes cluster creation libraries. This role is not a general DevOps position-the ideal candidate is a true Kubernetes + Terraform specialist with strong hands-on experience designing reusable IaC frameworks and automation using GitHub Actions.

Key Responsibilities

Kubernetes Engineering (Core Focus)

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade Kubernetes clusters on AWS (EKS) and Azure (AKS)
• Simplify, refactor, and standardize custom AWS/Azure Kubernetes wrappers and libraries
• Architect secure, scalable, and highly available Kubernetes platforms
• Troubleshoot complex cluster-level issues (networking, scheduling, storage, performance)

Terraform SME Responsibilities

• Lead Terraform design using modular, reusable, and versioned IaC patterns
• Manage Terraform state, remote backends, and workspaces
• Enforce Terraform best practices for multi-environment (dev/test/prod) deployments
• Review and optimize existing Terraform codebases for maintainability and performance

CI/CD & GitHub Actions (Must-Have)

• Design and maintain advanced GitHub Actions pipelines for:
  • Kubernetes cluster provisioning
  • Terraform plan/apply workflows
  • Policy checks and approvals
• Implement secure automation patterns including secrets management and RBAC
• Enable self-service infrastructure through GitHub-driven workflows

Cloud & Platform Engineering

• Deep hands-on experience with AWS and Azure native services supporting Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of cloud networking (VPC/VNET, load balancers, DNS, ingress)
• Collaborate with security and platform teams on governance and compliance

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• 8+ years in cloud or platform engineering roles
• Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes internals and cluster lifecycle management
• Expert-level Terraform SME experience (modules, state, backends, workspaces)
• Extensive GitHub Actions experience (mandatory)
• Hands-on experience with EKS and AKS
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes networking, storage, and security
• Experience simplifying and abstracting complex infrastructure libraries
• Proficiency with YAML, HCL, Bash, and/or Python
