Our client, an aerospace engineering organization, is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the engineering team supporting Fan, Compressor, and engine cold section evaluation activities. The ideal candidate will have leadership skills, collaboration skills, and customer-facing communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $69.71/hr
What?s the Job?
\t- Investigate and identify opportunities for tailoring engine component design requirements. \t
- Evaluate cold-section engine components, including Fan, Axial Compressor, and Centrifugal Compressor. \t
- Conduct literature reviews and align component design methods to regulatory compliance requirements. \t
- Perform impact analyses of tailoring design criteria and estimate savings related to cost, manpower, schedule, and design criteria reductions. \t
- Demonstrate testing and validation methods and update design criteria and models.
What?s Needed?
\t- 10+ years of experience with overall gas-turbine engine function, including 5+ years in engine cold section (Fan and Compressor). \t
- 5+ years of experience with engine cold section design criteria, practices, and guidelines, focused on mechanical and structural requirements. \t
- 5+ years of experience with regulatory agency criteria and guidelines, including military and FAA standards related to engine cold section. \t
- Experience leading Fan and Compressor teams and collaborating with functional groups, SMEs, and Chiefs to develop new design criteria and guidelines. \t
- Experience performing structural and mechanical analyses, trade studies, testing, validation, verification, and customer-facing support activities.
