Trumpf is seeking candidates for an onsite internship in our Flexible Systems Department at our Hoffman Estates, IL location. This internship will provide a college-level student with practical and professional experience that will enhance and compliment their classroom learning.

Internship Duration: Onsite in Hoffman Estates, IL from January 2027 - August 2027 At least 24 hours weekly

Principles Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Support layout engineers; prepare layout and foundation drawings
  • Process buildings scans
  • Prepare system 3D assemblies
  • Prepare 2D Layout and foundation drawings

Create technical documentation:
  • System configuration overview (e.g. LiftMaster, Tube Storage)
  • Prepare guidelines for layout process

Support with technical library:
  • Create SmartSheet Dashboard to allow easy entry of topics
  • Create work instruction

Pay Range: $18-$25

Qualifications:
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is required.
  • Strong inter-personal communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • AutoCAD, SolidWorks - 3D modeling software
  • Microsoft Office
  • Good technical understanding of process flows

Education:

Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree.
