Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Business Analyst to support a long-term technology procurement initiative for our client in Austin, TX. This hybrid role requires a Manager-level Technical Business Analyst with extensive experience in business analysis, technical requirements gathering, stakeholder management, technology evaluation, and procurement support. The ideal candidate will work closely with business leaders, enterprise architects, security teams, procurement teams, and technology vendors to evaluate complex technology solutions, document requirements, and support enterprise procurement decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Review, analyze, and summarize complex technical documentation including solution architectures, technical specifications, vendor proposals, security documentation, and implementation approaches.
• Plan and facilitate stakeholder workshops, discovery sessions, and working meetings with business and technical teams.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate complex business, functional, technical, integration, operational, and non-functional requirements.
• Develop complete, traceable, and well-structured business and technical requirements documentation.
• Create and maintain requirements traceability matrices and evaluation criteria.
• Support technology procurement activities including RFI, RFP, and RFQ documentation.
• Evaluate vendor proposals for compliance, technical fit, business alignment, risks, gaps, and dependencies.
• Document assessments, findings, recommendations, and procurement evaluation results.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language suitable for executives and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, security teams, procurement teams, and external vendors throughout the procurement lifecycle.
• Support enterprise technology strategy, solution assessments, and modernization initiatives.
• Ensure requirements are documented, validated, traceable, and aligned with business objectives.
Required Qualifications
• Strong experience in business analysis and technical requirements gathering.
• Expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and traceability.
• Experience developing functional, non-functional, technical, integration, and operational requirements.
• Strong experience reviewing complex technical documentation, solution architectures, and technical specifications.
• Experience reviewing vendor proposals and security documentation.
• Proven ability to facilitate stakeholder workshops and requirements sessions.
• Experience creating requirements matrices and evaluation criteria.
• Strong experience evaluating vendor responses for compliance, gaps, risks, and technical alignment.
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, security teams, procurement teams, and technology vendors.
• Excellent executive-level written, verbal, and presentation skills.
