Location: Merrifield, Virginia (Hybrid)
Role Overview
This position requires an experienced Full Stack Developer to analyze business needs and implement technology solutions. The role involves working with business units to understand requirements and enhance processes by leveraging existing systems and developing new functionalities. The developer will use their advanced knowledge of technology infrastructure and software applications to help implement the strategic vision through custom-coded business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify business requirements and translate them into delivered technical solutions.
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain custom code business solutions using approved software development tools.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing, including the development and execution of test cases and scenarios.
- Partner with project teams to plan and coordinate software releases to testing and production environments.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation throughout the Systems Development Life-Cycle.
- Analyze, define, and document technical design for data, workflow, logical processes, and system interfaces.
- Convert older language legacy solutions to modern languages.
- Build solutions from processes where no documentation exists.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.
Experience: A minimum of ten years of experience is required. This includes extensive experience in programming end-to-end custom-code solutions, converting legacy systems, and working in environments that are not completely isolated. Experience leading projects and collaborative work teams is also necessary.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in C#, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS is required. Experience with application development platforms such as .Net, React, SQL, MongoDB, MuleSoft, and Azure Cloud is also necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with the organization's mainframe systems.
- Knowledge of Project Portfolio Management.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position with the expectation to report onsite a minimum of three days per week. The role offers standard working hours with some flexibility. Please note that interviews will be conducted on-site in person.
