Summary

We are seeking a VoIP and Network Infrastructure Security Specialist to lead security assessments of enterprise IP telephony systems and network infrastructure. This role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities, strengthening network security posture, and ensuring secure configuration of voice and data environments.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in security assessments of VoIP and network infrastructure
  • Strong experience with VoIP protocols: SIP, RTP, RTCP, and H.323
  • Ability to identify vulnerabilities such as eavesdropping, call interception, SIP attacks, toll fraud, and unauthorized access
  • Experience assessing VLAN segmentation and network isolation controls
  • Knowledge of IP phone security, including firmware, default credentials, and management interfaces

Network Security Expertise:

  • Experience assessing routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers
  • Familiarity with DISA STIGs and CIS Benchmarks
  • Strong understanding of AAA (RADIUS, TACACS+), SNMP security, and ACLs
  • Knowledge of routing protocol security (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Wireless security experience (WPA2/WPA3, rogue AP detection, client isolation)

Tools Experience:
Wireshark, Nmap, Nessus, Qualys, SIPVicious, Scapy, Metasploit, and similar tools

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of relevant security assessment experience
  • At least one of the following certifications preferred: CEH, Security+, Network+, CCNA, CCNP, GCED, or GNFA
  • Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct security assessments of VoIP systems and network infrastructure
  • Perform configuration reviews aligned with STIG/CIS benchmarks
  • Identify, validate, and document vulnerabilities
  • Analyze network segmentation and potential lateral movement risks
  • Support development of security recommendations and remediation strategies
