Role Overview:
o The I&C Engineer II is responsible for supporting the design, specification, procurement, and documentation of instrumentation and control systems for large frame gas turbines and associated balance-of-plant systems.
o This role focuses on execution, technical accuracy, and collaboration across project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
o Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership.
o Review customer contract requirements and support instrumentation scope definition.
o Develop and maintain instrumentation procurement schedules.
o Prepare technical specifications and Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
o Review and validate vendor quotations for compliance.
o Verify instrumentation against P&IDs and develop instrument indexes/lists.
o Create and maintain instrument loops, datasheets, and associated drawings.
o Provide design input documentation required for I/O list development.
o Support resolution of customer comments on drawings and documentation.
o Collaborate with internal teams (design, operations, procurement, sales).
o Interface with clients, suppliers, and contractors to support project execution.
o Support development and maintenance of I&C procedures and checklists.
o Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving at project sites.
o Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ISA, ANSI/NEMA, NFPA, AGA, etc.) .
o Support vendor qualification activities as needed.
Requirements:
o Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
o Typically 3–6 years of relevant I&C experience in power generation or similar industries.
o Working knowledge of gas turbine and balance-of-plant instrumentation.
o Familiarity with control systems such as: Netmation, MK5/MK6, T3000, Ovation, DeltaV, SIMATIC, etc.
o Experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) or similar tools preferred.
o Understanding of instrumentation devices (pressure, temperature, level, flow, vibration, valves, etc.)
o Basic understanding of I/O systems, wiring, and signal interfaces.
o Ability to interpret technical standards and apply them to designs.
o Strong organizational and communication skills.
o Willingness to travel up to 5-10%.
