Seeking a Data Engineer II to support the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) by developing and optimizing security log analytics across cloud and on-prem environments.

Job Description:

Value Technology is seeking a Data Engineer II with strong experience in Cyber Security, SIEM, and Cloud Data platforms to support the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC). The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize scalable security log analytics frameworks across cloud and on-prem environments. This role requires hands-on expertise in Azure Sentinel, Azure Data Explorer (ADX), or AWS Security Data Lake, along with strong experience in building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines for SIEM and data lake platforms such as Splunk, Azure, and AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and manage scalable security log analytics frameworks
• Normalize, automate, and optimize security data pipelines
• Develop big data pipelines for SIEM/Data Lake environments (Splunk, Azure, AWS)
• Validate requirements, perform root cause analysis, and improve data processes
• Support cyber investigations and enhance analytics for threat detection
• Collaborate with cloud SMEs, DB architects, and security engineers

Required Skills:

• Azure Sentinel/ADX or AWS security data lake experience
• SIEM query languages & log analytics expertise
• Experience with security toolsets (firewalls, audit logs, authentication, AV)
• Strong scripting/programming skills for data integration
• Experience building & optimizing large-scale data pipelines
• Knowledge of data normalization & unstructured datasets
• Strong communication and analytical skills
