Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Implementation Consultant to lead and execute end-to-end Salesforce implementation projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience taking Salesforce projects from initial discovery and requirements gathering through solution design, configuration, development, testing, deployment, training, and production go-live.
The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, Salesforce developers, administrators, and technical teams to understand business processes and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle Salesforce implementations from discovery to production go-live.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements gathering sessions.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for Salesforce automation and improvement.
- Translate business requirements into Salesforce functional and technical solutions.
- Develop solution architecture, process flows, data models, and implementation plans.
- Configure Salesforce using:
- Objects and fields
- Record Types
- Page Layouts
- Lightning App Builder
- Profiles and Permission Sets
- Validation Rules
- Approval Processes
- Flows
- Reports and Dashboards
- Work with Salesforce developers on Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and integrations where customization is required.
- Design and execute data migration activities, including data mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, and loading.
- Integrate Salesforce with external applications and enterprise systems using APIs and integration platforms.
- Develop and execute system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and deployment validation.
- Manage Salesforce deployments using Change Sets, Salesforce CLI, DevOps tools, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Coordinate sandbox management, release management, and production deployments.
- Troubleshoot implementation issues and provide solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare technical and functional documentation, including configuration documents, process flows, test cases, and deployment documentation.
- Conduct end-user training, administrator training, and knowledge-transfer sessions.
- Support production go-live, hypercare, and post-implementation stabilization.
- Work with project managers to track implementation milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Provide recommendations for Salesforce best practices, scalability, security, and maintainability.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of Salesforce experience with significant end-to-end implementation experience.
- Proven experience completing at least 2–3 full Salesforce implementations from requirements through go-live.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.
- Strong Salesforce configuration experience.
- Experience with Salesforce Flow, Apex, LWC, SOQL, and integrations.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security model:
- Profiles
- Permission Sets
- Roles
- Sharing Rules
- Organization-Wide Defaults
- Hands-on experience with data migration and data conversion.
- Experience with Salesforce APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience with SIT, UAT, deployment, and production support.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to independently own an implementation workstream or complete implementation.
