Job Description:

CLOUD ENGINEERING / NETWORKING

Azure Cloud Services

·        Develop, design, and implement Azure Cloud Services:

o   Azure Virtual Machines

o   App Services

o   AKS

o   Functions

o   Storage

o   Azure Monitor

Cloud Networking

·        Develop, design, and implement:

o   VNETs

o   Subnets

o   NSGs

o   Azure Firewall

o   VPN Gateway

o   ExpressRoute

o   SDWAN

o   Network solutions

Automation & DevOps

·        Design and implement support for:

o   ARM Templates

o   Terraform

o   PowerShell

o   CI/CD Pipelines

Performance & Cost Optimization

·        Autoscaling

·        Load Balancing

·        Reserved Instances

Scalability, Reliability & Availability

·        Design for scalability, reliability, availability, and security of systems.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and maintain resilient systems.

·        Investigate and evaluate market and technology trends.

·        Foster a collaborative troubleshooting environment.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

·        Lead infrastructure projects, including:

o   Cloud integrations

o   System deployments

o   Network upgrades

·        Define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.

·        Monitor progress and address any issues.

SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE

·        Implement, adhere to, and enforce security policies and best practices.

·        Ensure compliance with industry standards, including:

o   ISO

o   NIST

·        Remediate vulnerabilities and provide systems built with security by design.

·        Implement a Zero Trust Architecture.

·        Support Identity & Access Management Standards, including:

o   Azure AD

o   RBAC

VENDOR MANAGEMENT

·        Evaluate technology vendors and ensure services and service levels are defined and considered.

·        Maintain vendor relationships and monitor service levels.

DISASTER RECOVERY AND BUSINESS CONTINUITY

·        Plan and test disaster recovery procedures.

·        Minimize downtime during critical incidents.

·        Azure Site Recovery

·        Backup

·        Geo Redundancy

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).

·        Proven experience in IT infrastructure management.

·        Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, cloud technologies, administration, and cybersecurity.

·        Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

·        Number of Overall Years Necessary: 8–12

Required Experience

·        Designed and deployed Azure-based infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications for global operations.

·        Implemented secure cloud networking using VNET peering, ExpressRoute, and VPN gateways for hybrid connectivity.

·        Led cloud migration projects, reducing on-prem footprint by 40% and achieving $500K annual cost savings.

·        Developed Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Terraform and ARM templates for consistent, automated deployments.

·        Configured Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for proactive performance monitoring and alerting.

·        Collaborated with security teams to enforce Zero Trust principles, RBAC, and encryption standards across environments.

·        Engineered network architecture for multi-region Azure deployments ensuring high availability and low latency.

·        Optimized network security posture through NSGs, Azure Firewall, and DDoS protection.
