Summary

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Low Voltage Technician for an Onsite position with a Major Media and Entertainment Company located in Orlando, FL. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage and structured cabling systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in data center and MDF/IDF environments, adhering to industry standards for telecom infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform installation of low voltage and structured cabling for inside and outside plant
  • Install conduit, cable tray systems, and hardware such as switches, servers, and other rack-mounted equipment
  • Install wireless access points (WAP) and antennas
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair low voltage connections
  • Install MDF/IDF/SIDF equipment including racks, cabinets, enclosures, UPS, and PDU
  • Actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience working in Data Center and MDF/IDF environments
  • 3+ years of experience installing low voltage cable
  • Experience and knowledge of industry standards in telecom and structured cabling, including cable management and fiber distribution
  • Experience with structured cabling according to BICSI and/or Commscope certification standards
  • Experience pulling and terminating LV cabling
  • Experience installing conduit, hangars, or other cable routing methods
  • Certification in BICSI, Commscope, or another industry standard
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Professional business communication and interpersonal skills

Desired skills:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Commscope certification is a strong plus

Pay range:up to $45.67 per hour
