Job Description

Role : Mainframe Support Analyst

Location : Alpharetta, GA

Who are we looking for?

A mid-level resource to manage a critical project for one of our biggest clients in banking domain. The Individual should be passionate about mainframe technology who having skills like Cobol, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS and MQ

Technical Skills:
4 to 7 Years of experience on Mainframe support project.
Hands on experience in Cobol, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS and MQ
Willing to work in 24x7 support.
Good to have knowledge on any of the scheduling tool Tivoli (TWS).
Willing to work from client Office ODC to support the project.
Error handling
Escalating failures or delays with proper analysis
Experience on JCL abend fixing should have knowledge on understand and diagnose the program issues
Good to have Release management knowledge.
Good to have experience on tools like QREP, SQLREP, MQ, Kafka (distributed).
Fluent in written and spoken English
Motivation, discipline, and ability to work well in a team environment but also on an individual basis to ensure tasks/actions are completed
Analytical thinking
Having knowledge on Production support (L2 & L3) which includes program changes, Job abend, Data issues, Database/File contention, issues due to upgrades, NDM Transmission, , access issues etc.

Process Skills:
Good to have Incident Management process - ITIL

Behavioural Skills:
Resolve technical issues of projects and explore alternate designs
Participates as a team member and fosters teamwork by inter-group coordination within the modules of the project.
Effectively collaborates and communicates with the stakeholders and ensure client satisfaction
Train and coach members of project groups to ensure effective knowledge management activity.

Qualification:
Education qualification: B.Tech, BE, BCA, MCA, M. Tech or equivalent technical degree from a reputed college
