You will serve as a Technical Project Manager in the Energetics Tool Engineering & Remediation Branch (W34), EOD Systems Div. (W3), Warfighter Defense & Systems Integration Dept. (W) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.

The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13/14.The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $158,322).

Duties

Help

  • You will lead the planning and execution of complex technical and systems engineering projects.
  • You will be responsible for the integrated technical project management of equipment from initial concept and research and development through system integration, testing, and evaluation, ensuring all deliverables meet critical EOD requirements.
  • You will coordinate across engineering, test, and operational stakeholders to deliver and validate advanced electronic warfare solutions that are technically sound, safe, and ready for joint service operational use.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals).
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical engineering leadership in support of Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare programs to ensure compliance with program policy, procedures and requirements for improving or advancing electronic warfare solutions.

The selectee's inability to successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or final job offer being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment. You may be required to sign a "Drug Test Statement of Understanding" if you are selected for this position.
