About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Azure Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize our Azure cloud environment. The ideal candidate has handson expertise across Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, security, and automation. This role is critical in ensuring a scalable, costefficient, and compliant cloud infrastructure that supports our business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Azure Infrastructure
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure VMs, storage accounts, VNets, load balancers, and databases.
- Manage subscriptions, resource groups, policies, and resource governance.
- Automate deployments using ARM/Bicep templates, Terraform, and Azure CLI/PowerShell.
Identity & Access (Entra ID / Azure AD)
- Manage users, groups, roles, and service principals.
- Implement MFA, Conditional Access, and identity governance.
- Support hybrid identity configurations with Azure AD Connect and SSO.
Networking
- Configure VNets, subnets, NSGs, routing, and private endpoints.
- Manage VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, VNet peering, Azure Firewall, and WAF.
Storage & Backup
- Administer Blob, File, Queue, and Table storage with appropriate redundancy models.
- Implement Azure Backup for VMs, databases, and file systems.
Monitoring & Optimization
- Monitor health and performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Build dashboards, alerts, and support incident troubleshooting.
- Optimize cost using Azure Advisor and cost management tools.
Security & Governance
- Apply Microsoft Defender for Cloud recommendations.
- Manage secrets, certificates, and keys in Azure Key Vault.
- Enforce RBAC, compliance standards, and policies.
Business Continuity
- Configure and maintain Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
- Conduct DR testing and maintain continuity documentation.
Automation & DevOps
- Develop scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Support IaC and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Azure compute, storage, networking, and identity management.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and scripting automation.
- Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and OS administration (Windows or Linux).
- Understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ104)
- Experience with ARM/Bicep/Terraform, AKS, and Azure Arc
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
