SharePoint 365 Application Developer

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a SharePoint 365 Application Developer for a hybrid role in Brooklyn, NY supporting a large public-sector organization in New York City. Active LinkedIn preferred. The selected consultant will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and ongoing administration of enterprise SharePoint portals and custom applications, leveraging both out-of-the-box capabilities and custom-coded solutions to support critical business operations.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
• 5–7 years of experience developing and maintaining medium to large SharePoint implementations.
• Strong experience developing enterprise-grade applications using C# or Java with MVC architecture.
• Extensive experience with SharePoint Online/365 out-of-the-box features, including webpages, forms, workflows, document libraries, content management, wikis, blogs, and search configurations.
• Experience with SharePoint Designer configuration and customization.
• Experience with Business Connectivity Services, Master Pages, Apps, Page Layouts, User Store, Web Parts, and Workflow Foundation.
• Experience designing, building, and managing large document libraries and information architecture.
• Experience developing custom applications supporting CRUD operations using C#, MVC, Java 1.8, JSP, JDBC, JavaScript, JSON, and/or PowerShell scripting.
• Experience integrating SharePoint with cloud services and third-party tools.
• Experience managing SharePoint security for sites and sub-sites, including permissions and governance.
• Experience configuring SharePoint services, managing content databases, site layout structures, quotas, and limits.
• Strong experience in database design, stored procedures, and SQL using MS SQL Server.
• Ability to multi-task, demonstrate independent initiative, and proactively manage project planning, requirements gathering, and prioritization based on business impact and risk.

SCOPE OF SERVICES
• Design, implement, and maintain internal SharePoint 365 portals and custom applications to support business operations.
• Configure and enhance SharePoint out-of-the-box features, including webpages, forms, workflows, document libraries, and SharePoint Designer components.
• Develop and maintain custom-coded solutions using C#, MVC, Java 1.8, JSP, JDBC, JavaScript, JSON, and PowerShell.
• Integrate SharePoint with cloud services and third-party tools to extend functionality.
• Perform SharePoint administrative tasks, including managing site and sub-site security, permissions, content databases, quotas, and site structures.
• Support ongoing enhancements, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure performance, reliability, and alignment with business needs.
