Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Mold Technician to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of mold-making tools and processes, and to contribute to the production of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mold making, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Mold Technician, you will be responsible for:

1. Operating and maintaining a variety of mold-making tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
2. Performing preventive maintenance on molds to ensure their longevity and optimal performance.
3. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with molds and mold-making equipment.
4. Reading and interpreting blueprints to ensure accurate production of molds.
5. Using a forklift to transport heavy materials and equipment.
6. Collaborating with other team members to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.
7. Adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
8. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and suggesting ways to improve mold-making processes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with mold-making tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
3. Demonstrated ability to perform preventive maintenance on molds and mold-making equipment.
4. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
6. Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
7. The ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
9. A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
10. A high school diploma or equivalent. A degree in a related field is a plus.
