A bit about us:My client is a leading manufacturing company and is growing! They are currently looking to add a Mold Design Engineer to their team who will be responsible for designing and optimizing products, molds, and ancillary equipment to ensure efficient and high-quality production processes.

Job DetailsDuties and Responsibilities:
1. Design mold and ancillary tooling for producing products in accordance with project requirements, industry standards, and best practices for Container, Automotive, Appliance, Consumer Packaging, and Industrial applications.
2. Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to assess the performance, cost, and manufacturability of design concepts.
3. Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks) to create detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and simulations of molds and ancillary equipment.
4. Collaborate with team to prototype and test new designs, iterating as needed to optimize performance and functionality.
5. Work closely with production teams to ensure seamless integration of new molds and equipment into manufacturing processes, providing technical support as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in the design and development of blow molds and ancillary equipment, preferably in the plastics industry.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools for mold design and analysis.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes related to blow molding.
