Job Description:
Configuration Management Specialist

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (Onsite)

Role Overview

This role supports a major engine replacement program, focusing on adapting modern engine technology to a legacy aircraft architecture. The position requires guiding designers on military configuration management rules, determining necessary kitting for modifications, and organizing drawing structures for engineering and modification teams. The specialist will work under general direction to develop, analyze, and manage process and product baselines for complex products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inform designers on the rules of military configuration management.
  • Determine the type of kitting necessary to perform aircraft modifications.
  • Organize the drawing structure for engineers and for the modification facility.
  • Collaborate with teams in the development, analysis, management, and compliance verification of product baselines.
  • Define, plan, coordinate, and conduct product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits.
  • Analyze product changes and develop technically complete change proposals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes, and tools.
  • Develop, integrate, and implement engineering technical program plans, including impacts, risks, and lessons learned.
Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of military configuration management rules.
  • Experience with EIA 649-1.
  • Experience in Configuration Management.
  • Proficiency in change and variance management processing.
  • Experience with Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) creation and updates.
  • Experience with A.C.N. management and tracking.
  • Ability to provide organization to issues, plan tasks, and develop plans.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate plans to others.
  • This position requires a U.S. Person for purposes of Export Compliance.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Oklahoma City. The work schedule is a 9x80 schedule, with typical hours from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Overtime and domestic travel may be required. This is an onsite role with no remote work option specified. The assignment duration is for 12 months.
