Overview
DecisionPoint seeks a Cloud Governance & Compliance Administrator to oversee cloud financial governance, tagging enforcement, optimization strategies, and usage compliance across IL5 AWS GovCloud environments supporting a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role ensures cloud spending aligns with budgets, cloud resources adhere to tagging and governance policies, and enterprise dashboards provide accurate usage and cost insights.
The Cloud Governance & Compliance Administrator works closely with cloud architects, cybersecurity teams, platform engineers, finance stakeholders, and program management to maintain compliant, cost-effective, and well-governed cloud operations.
This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Cloud Governance & Compliance Administrator will:
- Manage cloud cost governance, including budgets, alerts, and financial tracking dashboards.
- Lead tagging enforcement across all cloud resources to support reporting, compliance, and automation.
- Monitor cloud expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities such as rightsizing, storage tiering, and service optimization.
- Administer reserved instances and savings plans to maximize budget efficiency.
- Maintain cloud usage dashboards, cost allocation reports, and optimization summaries for leadership.
- Ensure compliance with IL5 cloud governance standards, tagging requirements, and enterprise controls.
- Support audits and assessments related to cloud cost, configuration consistency, and governance artifacts.
- Collaborate with platform and DevSecOps teams to integrate governance requirements into IaC and baseline templates.
- Track cloud consumption patterns and advise stakeholders on trends, anomalies, and forecasting implications.
- Document governance policies, tagging standards, and processes for cloud teams.
- Participate in Cloud Governance Board activities and Change Control Boards (CCBs) for cost-related updates.
Clearance Requirement
Must hold an active Top Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 5 background investigation.
Education (Required)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a related field.
Experience (Required)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in cloud administration, governance, compliance, or financial operations.
- Experience with cloud cost optimization and financial governance for AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience implementing tagging standards, reporting dashboards, or governance automation.
- Experience managing or supporting IL5 or secure federal cloud environments.
Technical Knowledge (Required)
- Knowledge of AWS GovCloud billing models, cost explorer, budgets, and tagging frameworks.
- Experience with cloud monitoring and reporting tools (CloudWatch, Cost Explorer, Grafana, or equivalent).
- Understanding of cloud governance, asset inventory, and compliance best practices.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust and IL5 cloud security alignment.
Technical Knowledge (Preferred)
- Experience with FinOps or cloud financial management frameworks.
- Experience integrating governance into IaC pipelines.
- Familiarity with SIEM integration for governance-related telemetry.
Certifications
Required:
- CompTIA Security+ or AWS Cloud Practitioner
Preferred:
- AWS Solutions Architect - Associate
- ITIL v4 Foundation
- FinOps Foundation certification
Skills
