Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA ABAP Lead with over 12 years of SAP ABAP development experience to design, develop, and support custom solutions within the SAP S/4HANA environment. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ABAP on HANA, S/4HANA conversions, and integration technologies, and must be able to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with functional and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support SAP S/4HANA ABAP solutions including enhancements, reports, forms, interfaces, and workflows.
Develop and optimize ABAP on HANA objects including CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA optimized programs.
Work on S/4HANA conversion and upgrade projects (ECC to S/4HANA).
Develop OData services and support SAP Fiori applications.
Design and develop RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
Build and maintain interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services, and APIs.
Collaborate with functional consultants (FICO, MM, SD, PP) to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Perform performance tuning and code optimization using HANA capabilities.
Support data migration and integration using LSMW or migration tools.
Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring to junior developers.
Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and development standards.
Required Skills
12+ years of SAP ABAP development experience
Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations
Expertise in ABAP on HANA
Experience with
CDS Views
AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)
OData Services
Strong experience in RICEF development
Experience with Enhancement Framework, BADIs, User Exits
Integration experience using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs
Experience with SmartForms / Adobe Forms / SAP Scripts
Knowledge of SAP Fiori and UI5 integration
Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development
Experience in S/4HANA brownfield or greenfield implementations
Knowledge of SAP BTP integrations
Experience with Agile / Scrum methodology
SAP certification in ABAP or S/4HANA
