We're kicking off a high-impact core system migration and we're looking for a senior Data Engineer who knows insurance claims.
An enterprise insurance organization is moving claims data from FINEOS (Oracle-based) into a modern core platform. This isn't a generic ETL role. This is a business-critical data migration where precision matters and domain knowledge is everything.
You'll be the person who understands the source system deeply-how claims are structured, how reserves and payments flow, how statuses evolve, and how policies tie together. You won't just move tables. You'll interpret business logic, untangle complex Oracle schemas, and ensure the data lands cleanly and accurately in the new environment.
Experience working on insurance data migration projects is non-negotiable. You've been through a core system replacement before and understand what's at stake when claims data is moved incorrectly. Direct experience with FINEOS is a major plus.
This is senior, domain-heavy, and high impact. If you've migrated claims data from FINEOS, Guidewire, Duck Creek, or another core insurance platform and know how to navigate complexity without breaking the business, let's talk.
*Must be based in Canada for this role* Required Skills & Experience - 5+ years of experience as Data Engineer/Data Migration Specialist or equivalent

- Strong Oracle/SQL experience, ETL, etc
Desired Skills & Experience - Fineos experience is a plus but not required
