IT Security Analyst

Description

We are looking for an IT Security Analyst to work onsite in Daytona beach, FL. In this role, you will help protect a Microsoft-focused hybrid infrastructure by assessing security events, supporting incident response activities, and improving visibility across cloud and on-premises environments. This position works closely with internal technology teams and an around-the-clock security operations function to reduce risk, maintain compliance readiness, and strengthen day-to-day security operations.

Responsibilities:

Monitor security events across Azure and on-premises systems, evaluate escalated alerts, and determine the appropriate response path.

Investigate suspicious activity by reviewing system, application, and security logs to identify indicators of compromise or policy violations.

Use Microsoft Sentinel and related security platforms to detect potential incidents, prioritize findings, and support timely containment efforts.

Partner with end users, technical teams, and security personnel to coordinate remediation steps and reduce operational exposure.

Maintain clear records of investigations, response actions, and outcomes to support audit readiness and incident tracking.

Contribute to security assessments and compliance reviews by organizing evidence and helping maintain required documentation.

Recommend updates to security controls, policies, and procedures based on observed risks, recurring trends, and incident findings.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, including Microsoft Sentinel or Azure Sentinel, in a security monitoring or incident response setting.
Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to threat detection, investigation, and remediation.
Ability to analyze logs and alerts across hybrid environments that include both cloud-based and on-premises systems.
Experience identifying suspicious behavior and escalating or resolving security events with sound judgment.
Familiarity with Microsoft-centric infrastructure and security tooling used to support enterprise protection efforts.
Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce accurate incident records and compliance-related materials.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with technical teams, security stakeholders, and end users.
