Technical Support Specialist / Helpdesk, Distribution

Vaco is actively seeking a Technical Support Specialist for a Contract-to-Hire opportunity supporting a rapidly expanding distribution company in the Hickory Hill area of Memphis.


Position Summary
The Helpdesk Specialist I is responsible for maintaining approximately 50 workstations plus production technologies to ensure seamless operations within a fast-paced distribution center.

This position is responsible for all onsite technical services, collaborating with outsourced MSP on Teir 2 / 3 issues as required, and providing end-user support to administrative and production teams.


Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide mid-level (Tier 1 / 2) support for hardware and software challenges as required.
• Install, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Escalate and monitor advanced issues with MSP partner as necessary.
• Set up employee equipment including hardware, cables, operating systems, and relevant software.
• Maintain accurate records of tickets and daily data communication transactions.
• Repair or replace components as needed to ensure systems are operational.
• Maintain endpoint systems (60 devices, including shop-floor workstations).
• Ensure seamless administration and support M365 business applications.
• Maintain distribution technologies including RF guns, Zebra printers, scanners and numerous low voltage systems including facility doors and cameras.

  • Friday: 7a – 11a
• Target Compensation:
  • Contract to Hire: $23.50 per hour (estimated at 6 months)
  • Upon Conversion: $60k salary
