Summary

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring a Technical Agile Lead / Scrum Master with an active Secret clearance to coach a system engineering team on Agile principles and help them focus on iteration goals and achieve their highest performance. This position will be located in Arlington, VA, and will be a hybrid position.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Agile Lead / Scrum Master, you're passionate about outcomes and supporting systems engineering teams that are enabling efficient delivery of products and solutions for a law enforcement agency. You know the importance of Agile best practices and how to combat challenges early to get the work done. You have held a technical engineering role and are looking to transition into a supervisory role. We need a Technical Agile Lead/Scrum Master like you to foster engagement and create solutions that enable efficient, timely product delivery by the engineering team.

In this role, you'll directly coach a system engineering team on Agile principles and help them focus on iteration goals and achieving their highest performance. You'll apply advanced consulting or extensive technical expertise to gather requirements, maintain a backlog, identify dependencies, and remove impediments, resulting in incremental delivery of value. You'll leverage your technical skills to assist with designing, implementing, validating, and documenting solutions. You'll use your excellent communication and writing skills to facilitate Agile ceremonies and identify areas for improvement. Responsibilities
  • Develop and analyze requirements and use cases
  • Prepare materials and facilitate Agile ceremonies for the team
  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile practices
  • Evaluate, analyze, and recommend products and solutions that meet approved requirements
  • Prepare documentation, including design, implementation, and administration procedures
  • Implementing and testing technical solutions in lab and production environments


Qualifications

High School with 10+ years of technical engineering (or commensurate experience)
Clearance Required: Active Secret with the ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability

Required Skills
  • A minimum of three (3) years of enterprise information technology experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
  • Knowledge of mobile device management platforms such as Workspace ONE or Intune
  • Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms
  • Understanding of security standards from NIST and DISA
  • Knowledge of security processes, including malware and patch management
  • Knowledge of load balancing, high-availability, and disaster recovery scenarios and products
  • Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Understanding of IT Service Management processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting and resolving technical issues

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
