Job Title: IT - Program Manager M&A

Client: Consumer Goods Provider

Work location: Remote Role in the USA

Duration: 06 months (Good potential of extension or conversion based on performance)

Pay Rate: ($90-$95) hourly.


Overview



  • We are seeking a Technology M&A Program Manager to lead end-to-end technology integration and separation activities for a large-scale acquisition. This role is accountable for delivering all technology workstreams on time, in scope, and aligned to Day 1 and post-close milestones.

  • You will serve as the central orchestration lead across IT, business, and external partners, ensuring seamless execution across a complex enterprise technology landscape.


Key Responsibilities:


Program Leadership & Delivery



  • Own the integrated technology program plan, including scope, milestones, dependencies, and critical path

  • Drive Day 1 readiness and post-close stabilisation across all technology domains

  • Ensure on-time delivery of all committed integration and separation deliverables

  • Build and maintain the integrated master schedule across all workstreams


Cross-Functional Execution


Lead coordination across:



  • ERP (SAP ECC / S/4HANA)

  • Finance, HR, Commercial, Supply Chain, R&D, Legal

  • Data & Analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, data lakes, reporting systems)

  • Infrastructure, End User Computing, and cloud environments

  • Cybersecurity, Identity & Access Management

  • System integrations, EDI, and application separation

  • TSA execution and exit planning


Act as the primary integration point between IT, business leaders, IMO, Finance, Legal, Security, and system integrators.


Governance, Risk & Issue Management



  • Establish program governance structure, cadence, and decision forums

  • Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and resourcing gaps

  • Drive issue resolution with clear options and escalation paths

  • Track TSA obligations and separation readiness


Executive Communication



  • Provide clear, concise status updates to executive leadership

  • Communicate progress, risks, and decisions required in a business-focused manner

  • Support steering committees and executive readouts


Change & Transition Management



  • Coordinate cutovers, transition planning, and stabilisation activities

  • Ensure smooth operational handover to business-as-usual teams

  • Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement for future M&A programs


Qualifications


Required



  • 10+ years in program or portfolio management roles

  • Proven experience leading technology M&A, divestitures, or large-scale integrations

  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems (ERP, data platforms, infrastructure, integrations)

  • Experience managing multiple parallel workstreams in complex environments

  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills

  • Experience working with system integrators and external vendors

  • High risk, dependency, and governance management skills


Preferred



  • Experience with TSA management, Day 1 / post-close planning, or separation programs

  • Background in data platforms, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives

  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification

  • Experience in enterprise PMO or IMO environments


Success Criteria



  • Successful Day 1 technology readiness with zero business disruption

  • Delivery of all milestones on time or ahead of schedule

  • Proactive risk identification with no major surprises

  • Strong executive confidence in program execution

  • Smooth transition to steady-state operations post-acquisition.
