Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced MQ & Kafka Engineer with 8+ years of experience in messaging and event streaming technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, system integration, and production support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support IBM MQ and Apache Kafka environments.
• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot MQ queues, channels, and Kafka topics.
• Monitor messaging infrastructure and ensure high availability and performance.
• Support application integration using messaging platforms.
• Perform incident management, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams.
• Maintain security, access controls, and documentation for messaging systems.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience with IBM MQ and Apache Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of messaging architecture and event-driven systems.
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration.
• Familiarity with shell scripting or Python for automation.
• Knowledge of monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of container platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes.
