Position: AI Platform Integration Engineer

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite) – need Ex-Apple candidates only

• Job Description
• This role requires a hands-on engineer who can understand existing architecture, continue ongoing development work, collaborate with UI, platform, security, architecture, and application teams, and support similar backend/API/AI integration initiatives as required.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong backend development experience using Python.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or similar Python-based API frameworks.
• Strong understanding of REST API design, middleware services, request routing, API integration, and session management.
• Practical experience integrating backend services with AI platforms, LLM-based applications, agentic workflows, or AI orchestration platforms.
• Understanding of how AI chat workflows operate, including prompt submission, context injection, conversation history, session listing, and response handling.
• Experience or working knowledge of MCP servers/connectors, tool-calling patterns, or backend connectors used by AI workflows.
• Ability to build or integrate MCP-style backend services for application-specific data or action access.
• Experience deploying applications on SAP BTP Cloud Foundry.
• Working knowledge of Cloud Foundry concepts including spaces, routes, service bindings, environment variables, logs, and deployments.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts including OIDC, OAuth, JWT, cookies, service credentials, and token forwarding.
• Experience with secure credential management, mTLS authentication, and encrypted credential handling.
• Ability to troubleshoot application connectivity, API failures, timeout issues, authentication issues, AI workflow failures, MCP connectivity issues, and deployment errors.
• Good understanding of application architecture, modular code structure, configuration management, and clean coding practices.
• Experience with Git-based code management, branching, pull requests, and documentation.
