Senior Production Manager to lead their manufacturing, production, and warehouse operations.
This position will drive operational excellence through data-driven decision-making, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and disciplined execution across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people performance. The Senior Production Manager will oversee production throughput, inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, quality, and capacity planning while developing scalable systems to support continued growth.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on operational leader with strong analytical skills, high emotional intelligence, and a proven ability to improve manufacturing and warehouse performance while collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Materials, Supply Chain, and Operations.
This position requires candidate to be oniste 4 days a week in their Texas office Responsibilities: - Lead production, configuration, and warehouse operations while meeting safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people-performance targets.
- Establish, track, and improve KPIs including efficiency, cycle time, First Pass Yield, Defects per Unit, On-Time In Full, inventory turns, and labor utilization.
- Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and labor modeling to improve line balance, takt time, throughput, layouts, and material flow.
- Lead root-cause analysis using 5-Why, Fishbone, A3, DMAIC, and similar methodologies.
- Drive Lean initiatives involving 5S, Kanban, standardized work, waste reduction, inventory optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Develop production schedules, labor plans, and sequencing strategies based on customer demand and operational capacity.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Supply Chain to resolve constraints, reduce defects, and improve operational flow.
- Support new product introductions through manufacturability analysis, pre-production builds, and process validation.
- Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and scalable operational controls that improve visibility and decision-making.
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline employees while promoting safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Must-Have Skills: - 5+ years of manufacturing, production, or warehouse leadership experience; 8+ years strongly preferred.
- Proven experience managing light-manufacturing and warehouse operations, including production, inventory, material flow, and facility activities.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Kanban, standard work, line balancing, and root-cause analysis.
- Demonstrated success improving production efficiency, quality, throughput, cycle time, labor utilization, and inventory performance.
- Experience with time studies, capacity planning, bottleneck analysis, labor modeling, and operational KPIs.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, production planning, inventory management, and advanced Excel.
- Experience managing supervisors and frontline production or warehouse employees.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
