The contractor will provide day-to-day support and administration of the SAN storage and fabric environment.
Client is currently using Dell Unity, ExaGrid (backup target) and Brocade switches for its internal storage solutions. They also have cloud storage in Azure and WASABI for secondary backups along with a second Dell Unity at the DR location for replication.
Manage LUN’s, NAS, Fabric switches and connections to the storage arrays on the Production and Test/Development environments
Provision new LUN’s as requested, and reclaim storage when applicable
Work with the virtualization team and fine tune storage configurations to get the best performance/resource utilization
Detection of SAN issues, monitoring and ownership of standards and requirements
Verify, create and remove NTFS permissions as requested
Participate in capacity planning for the infrastructure
Provide tools and procedures for resources provisioning
Document processes and procedures
Propose storage provisioning solutions to be analyzed and/or implemented
Evaluate and apply version updates of firmware and software to controllers and arrays
Develop and implement test plans to verify installation, upgrades or repairs, including back-out plans
Daily management of Veeam Backup and Replication jobs, including Office 365
Create new backup jobs as required to maintain industry standard of 3-2-1 retention

Required Skills:
Minimum skillsets required must include:
- 5+ years experience with SAN, NAS and Fabric administration and support
- Working experience with Dell Unity administration (CloudIQ) and support
- Basic understanding of vSphere and Horizon environments
- Strong focus on storage capacity planning and performance tools
