NERC Compliance Engineer

Job Description:

Location: Indianapolis, IN (Onsite 4 days/week; Friday WFH)

Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

We're looking for a NERC Compliance Engineer to support our substation and protection engineering team. This role focuses on maintaining NERC compliance (primarily PRC-005), managing relay maintenance/testing records, and helping prepare audit-ready documentation. You'll work closely with engineers and field crews to ensure our protection system data, test results, and evidence meet all NERC requirements.

Ideal candidates have:

• Experience with NERC O&P standards (especially PRC-005)
• Background in Protection & Control or relay testing
• Experience with Aspen Relay Database or relay data systems
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
