NP Mechanical, Inc. is a 100% Employee-Owned ESOP - long term retirement plan.
This position requires working in person, with a standard schedule M-F from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The schedule is subject to change with the approval of direct supervisor.
Join our dynamic team as a Multi Family Fire Estimator. In this pivotal role, you\'ll play a critical role in evaluating construction plans and specifications to accurately estimate costs for fire protection systems in multi-family residential projects.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Reviewing and analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for fire protection systems.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate cost forecasting.
- Preparing comprehensive bid proposals, including labor, materials, and equipment costs, for multi-family residential fire protection projects.
- Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to fire protection systems.
- Participating in project meetings to provide insights and recommendations based on your estimates.
- Maintaining accurate records of all estimates, proposals, and related documentation.
- Assisting in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Position RequirementsRequirements:- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in multi-family residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and relevant building codes and standards.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost estimation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review and interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems including sprinkler, alarm, and suppression systems.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Quick Bid, Plan Swift, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IBC).
