Location: New York, New York - United States Type: Permanent

The client is a boutique proprietary trading firm based in New York specialising in developing and running HFT strategies for Equities, Futures and FX. Since their inception 6 years ago, they have steadily grown while remaining under the radar. They have a top tier tech stack and infrastructure which has helped attract Senior Traders from other renowned HFT shops, who have looked to scale up their strategies.

Currently, they are looking to hire a handful of Junior Traders who will take on several responsibilities including;
  • Researching, developing and deploying fully systematic trading strategies.
  • Monitor behaviour and performance of live strategies.
  • Maintaining and enhancing features in the firm's codebase.
  • Collaborating with other researchers and traders on team projects.
  • Research into optimal execution and market structure.
  • Tool development for processes automation to support the team.
The ideal candidate has;
  • Graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Math, within in the past 2 years, or working towards graduating (Economics, Physics and Statistics should also suffice).
  • Internship/full time experience at a Trading Firm, Hedge Fund or Investment Bank. Ideal positions would be Quantitative Researcher/Trader.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, some knowledge of C++ is a
  • The ability to work independantly but also collaborate with others as part of a team.
