Position Summary

The Lead Integration Engineer is a senior, hands-on technical leader responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing support of integrations connecting Addepar, portfolio management platforms, client reporting tools, and enterprise data systems within a private wealth management technology environment.

This role owns end-to-end delivery of integration builds and provides technical leadership and mentorship to a broader integration engineering team, while partnering closely with architecture, data, security, and vendor stakeholders to keep the integration layer secure, scalable, and reliable.

This is a strong fit for an engineer who has grown into a technical leadership track within wealth or asset management technology and wants ownership over how systems connect across a modern private wealth platform.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, build, and delivery of API, middleware, and data integrations across Addepar, Snowflake, Canoe, portfolio management, and client reporting platforms.
  • Serve as the senior technical point of contact for integration engineering, providing hands-on development leadership and mentorship to other engineers.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of integration builds, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support handoff.
  • Partner with architecture, business, data, security, and vendor teams to translate integration requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions.
  • Establish and enforce engineering standards for API design, authentication, data contracts, error handling, logging, and monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues spanning Addepar, portfolio management, client reporting, and enterprise data workflows.
  • Support production operations, including release planning, regression testing, incident response, and vendor coordination.
  • Contribute to Snowflake-based data integration, including ingestion, transformation, and downstream reporting support.
  • Document integration designs, data flows, dependencies, and operational runbooks.
  • Participate in Agile delivery ceremonies, code reviews, and technical planning sessions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
  • 8+ years of experience in integration engineering, application development, or systems engineering within financial services.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting private wealth management, wealth management, or investment advisory technology environments.
  • Demonstrated experience building and delivering API integrations, middleware solutions, and enterprise data integrations.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with modern data platforms such as Snowflake.
  • Experience providing technical leadership, mentorship, or team lead responsibilities for engineers.
  • Experience supporting production systems, including release management, incident response, and vendor coordination.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule with regular in-office presence, or on-site as needed.

Desired Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Addepar's platform, data model, and API/integration patterns.
  • Experience with Canoe or comparable alternative investment document automation platforms.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), containerization, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience with REST, event-driven integration, message queues, and file-based integrations.
  • Familiarity with financial services regulatory considerations (SOX, AML/KYC, SEC/FINRA).
  • Experience with Agile delivery methods and CI/CD practices.
