Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking an Assistant Director of Construction Management in Hollywood, FL to support the leadership and operational management of a construction management organization responsible for capital improvement and construction projects.

Responsibilities:
* Assist the Director in managing departmental operations, processes, procedures, and administrative functions
* Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to project managers, technical staff, professional personnel, and administrative support teams
* Support the planning, execution, and delivery of capital improvement and construction projects
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, consultants, and project teams to ensure alignment on project objectives
* Assist in developing departmental priorities, project assignments, timelines, and resource allocation plans
* Coordinate with project managers and consultants to develop project proposals, presentations, and recommendations for executive leadership review
* Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, and compliance with established standards and requirements
* Provide technical expertise and support in the administration of capital construction programs
* Promote consistency in project management practices, documentation, and reporting
* Support strategic planning initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the construction management function
* Prepare and present project updates, status reports, and recommendations to executive leadership

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Construction, or a closely related field
* 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in construction project design, construction management, and project delivery preferred
* Strong combination of education and Civil Engineering experience may be considered
* Experience managing complex construction projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
* Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
* Valid Florida Driver's License required

Preferred Skills:
* Capital improvement program management experience
* Experience leading project management teams and consulting partners
* Strong knowledge of construction project lifecycle management, budgeting, and scheduling
* Experience preparing executive-level presentations and project proposals
* Knowledge of public-sector, municipal, tribal, or large-scale infrastructure projects

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
