We are seeking a high-level technical strategist to oversee the development of the Operational Technology (OT) network and infrastructure for our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Richmond. This role is not about hands-on programming; it is about technical sparring, strategic oversight, and acting as the primary "driver" on the ground to ensure our infrastructure is resilient, secure, and integrated.
As the bridge between global digital teams and local factory operations, you will ensure that all OT systems-spanning manufacturing, facilities, and automated logistics-are designed and implemented according to international best practices and business continuity requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Your mission is to provide the "big picture" leadership necessary to move from construction to a fully operational, high-tech production environment.
- Technical Sparring & Leadership: Act as the lead technical consultant for OT architects and digital teams. Provide informal leadership by setting objectives, resolving technical impediments, and identifying strategic improvement opportunities.
- Solution Design & Architecture: Actively participate in architecture meetings to design "turn-key" systems and integrate new production lines, ensuring alignment with global standards.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Drive the OT agenda in vendor discussions. You will be expected to challenge contracts where necessary to ensure technical requirements and cybersecurity standards are met.
- Strategic Oversight: Manage cross-functional integration with a focus on risk management and high availability. You will oversee the "Ground-to-Cloud" strategy without performing daily configurations.
- Operational Handover: Establish ownership processes for the production site and manage a professional transition from the project phase to steady-state factory operations.
qualifications:
Technical Expertise
- OT Infrastructure: Deep understanding of OT networks, server infrastructure, and the unique requirements of a production environment.
- Standards & Frameworks: Strong working knowledge of ISA95 and IEC62443.
- Cybersecurity: Experience implementing "Cybersecurity by Design" within an industrial context.
- Manufacturing Context: Proven experience working within manufacturing, warehouses, or automated logistics hubs.
Professional Skills
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to navigate a complex landscape, communicating effectively with everyone from software engineers and maintenance crews to Procurement, Finance, and Senior Management.
- The "Driver" Mindset: A proactive, pragmatic approach with a "can-do" attitude. You must be comfortable being the primary point of authority on-site while collaborating with remote headquarters.
- Communication: Excellence in translating complex technical OT requirements into actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders
