We’re looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineer who thrives on building robust, scalable data platforms and then taking them to the next level by integrating intelligent automation.
In this role, you’ll own end-to-end Azure data engineering — designing high-quality ETL pipelines, mastering data cleansing and transformation, and delivering reliable data that powers the business. What You’ll Actually Do
Core Data Engineering Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable Azure data platforms using Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, D365, and Power BI.
- Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines with a strong focus on data cleansing, formatting, quality, and enrichment at enterprise scale.
- Build advanced OCR and intelligent document extraction solutions (using Azure Document Intelligence or similar) that turn messy inputs into clean, actionable data.
- Ensure data pipelines are reliable, governed, and production-ready so they serve as a trustworthy foundation for intelligent automation.
Agentic Automation & Intelligent Workflows
- Integrate agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and similar) on top of your data platforms to create intelligent, automated processes.
- Develop systems that ingest business documents or events, reason over company policies, apply business logic, and drive faster approvals or actions — with smooth human-in-the-loop escalation when needed.
- Rapidly prototype and productionize automation for key internal processes such as purchase order validation, timecard approval, invoice processing, and more.
- Leverage powerful LLMs (like Claude) both to accelerate your own development and to power the reasoning capabilities of the agents you build.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Senior-level Python expertise — your primary language for building data pipelines and orchestrating agents.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Senior Azure Data Engineer, with deep knowledge of Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, D365, and Power BI.
- Strong production experience in ETL/ELT, data cleansing, transformation, and data quality at scale.
- Hands-on work with OCR and intelligent document processing pipelines.
- Experience integrating agentic toolsets such as LangChain or LangGraph into data workflows — including tool calling, memory, planning, and orchestration patterns.
- Comfort working with frontier LLMs in production environments through prompting and agentic patterns.
Nice-to-Haves
- Background automating processes in finance, procurement, HR, or operations.
- Familiarity with Claude or similar LLM agent capabilities.
- Experience designing human-in-the-loop workflows with proper audit and compliance controls.

- You’ve strengthened and enhanced our Azure data platform, delivering cleaner, more reliable data flows.
- You’ve helped automate at least one major internal process (e.g., purchase order or timecard approval), measurably reducing cycle time from days to hours.
- Business stakeholders are seeing real impact through faster, smarter workflows built on top of solid data engineering foundations.
