Quality Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Quality Technician in Foster City, CA.

Summary:
In this technical role, you will be responsible for performing quality control activities for the Primary Compute Unit (PCU) and Compute Suite production line, ensuring compliance with standards and internal procedures. This role involves performing inspections, debugging issues, and implementing improvements.

Responsibilities:
* Carry out IQC, IPQC and OQC tasks across multitudes of parts ranging from injection molding, castings, PCBAs, and complex electro-mechanical sub-assemblies
* Basic knowledge of the use of calipers, micrometers, height gauges, DVM, and other measuring tools
* Document inspection results by completing reports and logs and inputting data into a quality database
* Ensure accurate documentation and proper maintenance of quality records in compliance with internal procedures, policies and regulatory requirements
* Ensure correct quality movement of products (physical and virtual) throughout the entire serialized manufacturing process
* Assist engineers with proper MRB disposition activities
* Identify and initiate non conformances, participate in the root cause analysis and assign them to correct individuals
* Perform calibration and maintain test/measurement equipment to ISO requirements as required
* Submit PPAP documentation for approval
* Suggest improvements to quality inspection processes and procedures
* Comply with safety regulations and the client's safety program
* Perform other tasks as required

REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED or equivalent
* 4 to 6 years of progressive QA experience in a fully or semi-automated serialized production environment of complex electro-mechanical assemblies (Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Device, Robotic industry)
* Proficiency in using quality control tools, SAP/Oracle ERP software and MS Office/Google Suite
* Strong organizational, verbal and written communication. Skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to handle tight deadlines and manage competing demands effectively

Bonus Qualifications:
* Experience in complex high-end computer/rack assembly, testing and troubleshooting
* Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485 standards

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
